What happens if Berto ko’s SSM in a great fight. Does he get into the mix then with MPP and FMJ? He might in fact be the best out there and if he does win in fact he should call out everybody, from Floyd to Pacman to Tim Bradley. Obviously the way to make money in the business is to draw attention to yourself, not by fighting the best fighters ;example FMJ Antionio Tarver. Just start calling guys out stop leaving it up to your promoter.

I don’t think that Shane Mosley will win his fight with Andre Berto. Berto is nowhere near less competitive. Less lucrative? Yes. Shane is going to have real trouble with Berto for sure. This kid is young and hungry. And he is not a title holder for no reason. So Pacquiao might have to find another excuse to avoid fighting Mayweather.

WITH DUE RESPECT TO MOSELY I GUESS HE MIGHT JUST HAVE TO WAIT. PRO BOXING IS MORE OF A BUSINESS RATHER THAN A SPORT. HE’LL JUST WISH IT WON’T BE A CLOSE FIGHT BETWEEN MANNY AND FLOYD WITH THE JUDGES DECIDING THE OUTCOME BECAUSE A REMATCH WOULD MOST LIKELY TAKE PLACE AND IN WILL SURELY PROLONG HIS AGONY.

Honestly, I would rather want MP fight Mosely than PBF because Floyd’s ego is very hard to deal with. And if MP fights Mosley, it will surely drop PBF’s market now because it will surely prove to every fan what was said about Floyd that he is one overrated boxer trying to bost his perfect record by cherrypicking the right opponents for him. Although Im definitely sure that whenever MP fights PBF, a lot of people will watch it, but the split between the two will be more in favor of Pacman and the only reason for PBF’s camp to ask for a bigger slice will surely mean another good duck at MP.

In my opinion, Floyd has absolutely no grounds to demand anything more than 50 percent, and I actually think he is in the 40 to 45 range right now. Remember, right now, more people know of Pacquiao than Mayweather as far as casual fans go.

owensupd, you make a good suggestion that appaerntly others have made: 40/40 with the extra 20 to the winner. That might be a good way to please them both and bring them to the table.

I don’t think Sugar Shane is sought after, he’s probably the most ducked figher amongst welterweights.

Good point about the Pacquiao – Mayweather negotiations breaking down. If anything, it would be because of Mayweather’s stubborness to admit that he is really #2 coming into the bout and not accepting anything less than 60% (this is also FMJ’s way of ducking fighters).

If negotiations break down, Mayweather won’t fight Mosley, there is way to much risk. If he loses, he’ll have even less leverage in negotiating a good deal with Pacquiao. So fighting Pacquiao now is his best option. Who else is he going to fight?

Mayweather may wait it out, fight another lower weight boxer like Hatton or Malinaggi and hope Pacman fights Marquez and loses (which he wont) or Mosley and loses, therefore giving Mayweather the upper hand in negotiating a better deal.

Bottom line. Mosley is the most ducked fighter, amongst champions. Berto is fighting him because he’s coming up and wants to make a bigger name for himself. The Mayweather-Pacquiao bout will happen, the only question is when…
