You know but i wish ppl wouldnt talk maidana up so much because he can be outboxed especially by a boring, tapping, dancer like khan who will just run away all night and win a UD. Al Francis- im not putting you in the santiago bracket mate dont worry. Good points you made but even tho i hate to defend hatton, at least maussa had a belt and had earned it by KO’ing a respected top 7 guy. Khan WILL beat salita and he will look okay doing it..but lets not kid ourselves that maidana or anyone else of note will be next because they wont. Khan is hiding and will continue to hide for as long as he can.

forgot about scott harrison! Salita IS a better first defence than 90% of british fighters in the modern era, lewis first defence was tucker i think, and carl froch with taylor, hatton with carlos maussa, thats the only 3 that could possibly rank higher, and im being VERY generous with maussa!

Al francis Khan is the biggest fraud in world boxing i doubt we’l see him fight anyone who matters anytime soon. But why did u say Im white?
Why does that matter? Im black and i hate amir khan but it doesnt make me racist to asians.

Il be hoping for a shock salita win but whats more likely is Khan wins and wins in style…then fights either an old has been or some slow chump who cant hit hard

Come on Al francis, iv read a few of your opinions before and they are dodgy at best. Uk is staunch hatton but at least he thinks before he writes. If you DO think salita is a viable first defence then you dont know boxing. Its same old amir khan fighting hopeless opponants and salita IS hopeless, he isnt even a real top 15 light welterweight (forget WBA rankings). Even the Americans dont know this guy, its just another kotelnik only worse, thats why they are already looking past him.

Frochs first defence was Jermain Taylor in USA, Khans is salita in newcastle! I wont be paying anyway
