When they announced the scores I thought that Perez was about to be robbed. I was glad that Perez got the nod because he deserved to win. I don’t know what fight the judges were watching though a score of 115-113 Perez is a lot closer to the truth.

I thought they would rob Perez. A little closer than the judges had it. Fighters that stop fighting after a head butt or low blow is a comparatively recent thing. To his credit Cortez didnt fall for it. Lately referees are many times to involved in ring activities (there arnt enough Byrds or Smogers). They should remember the dressing room instructions “Protect yourself at all times). Oh, and by the way, the ref tells you when to stop and start.

NORBERT, i said demarco doesnt have that kind of power, meaning he doesnt have a kind of power to hurt edwin. edwin is a strong beast that just punches and punches.

i love demarco, but he doesnt have solid power for his division. demarco is average at everything, speed, power, work rate, chin, stamina.and edwin is well above average at everything.

dont get me wrong, if they ever fought i hope demarco wins, but if they fought edwin would be favorite 3-1 or 4-1.

you gave agbeko 9 rounds to 3 ahead, what fight were you whatching? and this other dude says de marco doesnt have power, his last 3 fights have been won by knock out!

i have to disagree on this one almost 100%,
perez’s shots were more noticable specially the first half of the fight.

abgeko’s punches have no juice in them, if anybody got hurt in this fight it was abgeko, and not just from the head butt.

perez matched abgekos work rate, but perez;s had more pop, and the judges could see that, i scored it 116-112 for perez.

as for demarco i thought he fough a perfect fight given his abilities to box very well from outside, i agree that i dont think he can beat edwin, demarco just doesnt have that kind of power. plus if you have seen demarcos past fights, he has trouble with fighters that put close pressure on him, and thats that edwin does.

ide rather see demarco face guys like, linares, luevano, soto, guerrero.

now that i think about it i think a demarco vs litzau wouldnt be that bad of a fight.

I agree. I watched the fight and think you are right. The judging on the perez fight was terribble. Sometimes I might have disagreements in past.on this occasion you are being fair.
