actually there are three of them here – manuel perez,liam santiago and one called gilford…who’s articles are just excuses to pour out their hate for certain fighters to the net public at large.non-objective writing,…who allowed them to write their hate mail on this site anyway?…

to mr M- i agree with what your sayin but after a fight i feel that it is more impoertant to determine why figher A won, more than why fighter B lost. if we dwell on why say margarito lost to mosley i feel we are taking away respect from mosley because he was just simply breathtaking that night and thats why margarito lost
hence the same equation shud b used in the result of any fight i feel, its only fair

Brilliant article – one of the best i’ve read on the site. Quite like the young welsh dude that wrote a couple last week too. Anyway, I’d say this to add to what you’ve written – the perspective isn’t so black and white. There’s a fine line between careful analysis of the fight to determine what a fighter got wrong or didn’t do well enough to win and making excuses. Obviously there are some comment which are out and out excuses – Mr Gilford is a fine example. I’d say that the distinction is that the least “excuse like” commentary tends to be confince to what actually happened on the night and the periphery that surrounds it. Great article though – hopefully you’ll give us your thoughts afterwards.

Tough one to call, but I think Pacquiao will be a little sharper and beat Cotto.

I reserve the right to change my mind of course if that idiot Gilfraud backs Pacquiao to win.

Should be a good fight either way.
