Alas, for De La Hoya – He ‘predicted’ his win over Pacquiao, and was forced to retire on his stool, resigned to contemplate on his own mortality; He ‘predicted’ a bashing by Hatton of Pacquiao, because of (so-called) being a ‘natural’ weltwerweight – and got beaten to a pulp by the second round, and forgot to bring his blanket in when he slept in the middle of the ring (he needed to be woken up at the time to be reminded of it); He predicted a Marquez win over Mayweather, and the latter just played around the poor little guy like a wobbly-spinning top… And now this?!? Cotto over Pacquiao… my golly have he seen how the Filipino Juggernaut used his ‘bet’ as an example on the exercise of futility??

“I’m now convinced Cotto will win” – He was merely convincing *himself*, not the majority of fans… how unfortunate.

“Cotto has a good chin and a big heart” – Mr. De La Hoya, as you can see – it DIDN’T work! Obviously it doesn’t work with lightning fast hands and the skill set of a well-oiled, seasoned warrior-machine, — OK, Cotto has brains – but so do his opponent! Do we need to argue? You just saw the evidence yesterday, right? Or you got *blinded* and never saw daylight again since the day you were *relegated* to a retiree by the very same man you predicted against several months ago?
