Kameda defeats Naito, captures WBC flyweight title
By Eric Thomas: Unbeaten flyweight contender Koki Kameda (22-0, 14 KO’s) won an impressive 12 round unanimous decision over World Boxing Council flyweight champion Daisuke Naito (35-3-3, 22 KO’s) to win the WBC flyweight title at the Super Arena, Saitama, in Saitama, Japan, on Sunday night. The final judges’ scores were 116-112, 117-111, 117-111. Kameda dominated the first half of the fight and then held on to get the decision.
