If anyone doubts Haye’s ability…..bet against him then you will make serious money.

If you so sure of his lack of speed, skill, power and technique bet against him.

The same people who will say he’s crap but don’t back it up with money.

I backed Haye to win saturday night and won £1100.

When it comes to money this shows the true measure of his actual skills.

Haye was favorite for a reason….he will be favorite for Ruiz….for Wladimir and Vitali.

Haye had the better punches throughout – I think he was only caught clean about 3 times…

And Haye BROKE HIS HAND in the 3rd round. And rocked the ex-champ in the 12th.

He looked slick, skillful and smart. Sure he could have done more but he had a BROKEN HAND. Thats why the first 3 rounds where easy to give to Haye.

Dirrell did less and you thought he won? Scott – you contradict yourself constantly

.Yes Haye fought smart but did not deserve to take the belt.If he was worth his salt he would have made it in close and pummeled Valuev with crushing uppercuts like Tyson did to Bruno.It is the most effective tactic against larger opponents.It requires skill and balls.No comparison should be made between Lewis and Haye at the moment as Lewis was the master of the jab.Bruno could not use the jab effectively.In fact Valuev is the worst fighter to use the jab Ive ever seen.When Hayes minerals grow after the next fight they might shrink like Hattons when he has to fight a fighter of caliber.Lets wait and see whether Haye is another Hatton / Hamed or a Benn/ Hagler.Pity Holyfield doesnt get a shot at him.Now there is a true legend.

Scott if you hate David Haye so much, why do you write 50 articles about him every day.

Firstly, how can you score the bout a draw when all Valuev was doing all night was swinging and missing. Valuev was the aggressor but he wasn’t effective.

Secondly, how can you say Haye is boring, when only 2 of his fights have gone the distance. And every other fight he’s either stopped his opponent or in the occasion where he lost to Carl Thompson he punched himself out going for the KO early on in the fight.

Valuev only lost once in 49 fights, which shows how tough he is to beat.

David has will liven up the heavy weight division and bring heavy weight boxing back into the spotlight. And he will expose these poor conditioned big Fat men playing boxers with no real boxing skill like Chris Arreola.

After Arreola lost to Vatali you wrote an article what would have happened if Haye was in with with Vatali. But now i’m wondering, what would have happened if Areola was in with Valuev.

If you’d seen his broken hand from round 1 on TV the day after (twice the size of the other) you’d understand why he ran all night and although at the time Haye’s performance didnt’t look great it was the same as Direll’s & you reckoned he won

lets get this into perspective. How can anybody think that Valuev came any where near winning the fight when he only really connected with Haye twice as far as i could see over the 12 rounds. lets get this right haye mugged him, the plan worked and how else can you fight a man of Valuev’s stature without being cute. full marks to haye

118-111 for Haye using the 4 criteria for scoring pro boxing.

On defence, Haye won every round.

On ring generalship, Haye won every round.

On clean punching, Haye scored on 10 rounds, 1 round tied, 1 for Valuev.

On effective aggressiveness, Haye not aggressive enough to score on many rounds and Valuev’s aggression was ineffective in many rounds. 10 rounds with neither winning, 1 round for Haye, 1 round for Valuev.

Rewatch the fight and score the proper way (without ignoring defence). If Willie Pep can win a round without scoring a punch while making his man miss, then David Haye can win by landslide landing a few each round while doing the same.

Couldnt agree with you more.This was the very reason why Marvin Hagler retired after losing to Sugar Ray Leonard .Leonard,like Haye danced around the ring,was unimpressive fired off a few flurries and went on to win!!!The crowd wanted him to win.This was the greatest injustice to a boxer in the history of the sport.Haye did not take the title decisively.The very least he would have to knock Valuev or hit him so often with jabs and uppercuts that he could not possibly lose.The result was political.The division wanted an exciting boxer.Excitement should not be enough.Valuev spent too much energy trying to hit the faster opponent.He should have crowded Haye into the corner or onto the ropes and delivered punches on whichever side Haye tried to escape..Valuev is alsounimpressive.For Haye to be comfortable with keeping his hands by his side said it all!!Valuev at least deserves a rematch before the Ruiz fight.

I thoght Valuev won 115-113 or
at least a draw. The guy got some close ones himself so its hard to feel for him.And I felt Haye won the first 3 rounds. I don’t feel you have to really beat a champ to win,just win but Haye
got a gift.
