so, why did everyone think cotto was going to win by ko?

i literally couldnt see the fight going any way other than the way it did go. which is why i thought id share my confusion with you.

though i am disappointed in the referee, he should have pulled cotto out in the 8th, he had no reply for the barrage of punches pacquiao threw at him and was barely on his feet.

after that i think pacquiao realised no matter what the ref probably wouldnt stop it and then sort of eased off and cruised through until the 12th where the ref was literally just waiting for a shot to connect so he could stop proceedings.

id like to point out im not a fan of either of these fighters, and respect both of them equally.

whilst i was disappointed that the ref allowed cotto to continue to be beaten up for 4 rounds more than he should have, i must say i found some admiration for the way cotto showed true heart and courage against a vastly superior opponent to stay there for almost 12 rounds.

dan ciminera lets not forget when cotto fought Paulie he was fighting at 140 draining himself to make that weight. Cotto has been at welterweight for three years now & his power is much greater than when he was much younger fighting in junior welterwieght. Cotto has the tools & the know how to put Manny out. If cotto survives the initial shock & awe that manny will try & come across with in the first three rounds, then I see this as very favorable for Cotto & se Cotto winning by either knock out or decision.

Their ayes will be open to reality and the right perspective about Cotto.

If the fight is close and it gets to the judges, expect Cotto to get robbed. No, this is not an early excuse, just calling a spade a spade.

I can see Cotto by KO in less than 8. If Marquez busted up Pac after landing on his arze so many times, think about what will happen if Cotto lands half as much on Pac’s face and body as Marquez did.

Ive been sayin for months that Cottos guna KO Pacquiao, then this week i changed to Pacman winnin on points, now the fights only hours away im just givin up with tryin to settle on a prediction.

Aint it all exciting. UFC followed by that. brilliant.

i find it pretty strange that the overwhelming predictions for this fight are for cotto to win, and by knockout.

are you all forgetting that cotto is a man who lacked the tools to put paulie malignaggi (one of the most effete boxers in recent history) away.

yes he won convincingly, but to say malignaggi has a better chin than pacquiao is both cringeworthy and certifiably mad!

for me pacquiao wins. on points or ko. havent quite decided that part yet
