Kotelnik : “I’ll punish Khan in our next bout”! – News

By Liam Santiago: Former World Boxing Association light welterweight champion, Andreas Kotelnik has blasted Amir Khan for the manner in which he beat the Ukrainian in order to take his title. Kotelnik claims that Khan did not win convincingly and did not fight the way a champion fights. The ex champion claims that next time, eveything will be very different.
Boxing does not end there for Kotelnik. He plans on facing Khan in a rematch, which he says depends on Khan’s promoter, Frank Warren. ”I’ll punish Khan in our next bout. I can meet him in two fights. Now it is up to Khan’s promoter Frank Warren.

Thank you slapfest and shah for also recognising these problems, people that say that dont exist are just ignorant and dont know alot. These are real life issues that need to be addressed. Im a boxing fan who will always support a british fighter despite hes colour because he comes from our shores, I travelled last november to newyork to support Calzaghe against Roy jones in madison sq garden. Im proud of our british fighters like hatton, froch, Haye and all the rest. Iv only pointed out FACTS that are out there and didnt mean to upset anybody . Hopefully with time we can all agree and try to resolve these. problems.
True, race plays a huge part in the negative press Khan gets along with all the abuse he get from “boxing fans”
The real motive is race, the logic here is go to any Khan video on youtube and see the crap the British fans give him, not the majority but a HUGE minority. They cannot see a SUCCESSFUL BRITISH ASIAN winning titles and beating WHITE caucasian fighters.
It is pathetic, but with his skills way above and beyond any British contender out there FACT he will succeed, the American fighting public will take to him, a man who is humble from a good family and a good role model for any young kids out there.
Malik, I know what you mean about the MEN dude, they have been acused many times before to sort it out!, they should not be given the chance to stage events anymore, Khan should stick o2 and Newquay! its almost like the MEN encorage that sort of behaviour, sounds silly I know, but very true, unfortunately!

khan is a very good boxer but he has not got a chin we all no that so what happens when he gets in the ring with a banger well he will get ko again next you lot will say he would beat floyd mayweather ha

was kotelnik surprised that ‘chinny’ khan ran all night..he will never stand in front of anyone again now that he is not beating up superfeathers!
Khan totally dominated the fight. Poor effort from Kotelnik, perhaps angling for a rematch – which wont happen.
I like khan as a boxer, he has excellent speed and good skills. No doubt he had learnt from his defeat, his defence were tight in that fight. Under the roach camp and training with the likes pac man will only improve him. I think we would see more improvements in the next few years and can see khan getting another title.
You people make me laugh how much you write khan off. Hes only 22 there so much to come he fought a strategic fight to win the title. There wouldnt be such a big post mortem if he was WHITE thats the real issue here the sooner people admit that the better.
kotelnik didnt put up a fight till the last round and even then it wasnt much of an effort, he never took any risks at all. and khan was pretty much the same. gone are the days when amir was exciting, ive never seen such a heartless fight, you wouldnt have thought a world title was on the line.
I’m not a Kahn fan at all, he still hasn’t earned a title yet imo, but Kotelnik is much worse. Kahn DID dominate that entire fight almost with ease. He’s just sore about it.
junior witter is and always has been over rated and khan won every round very easily kotelnik have some honour in defeat. thats a very lame excuse that he didnt beat you like a champion. khan outboxed him for 12 rounds and you had no answer for anything that a limited fighter threw at you. a true champion wins by finding anyway to win a true champion just wins!!!!!! finds a way to win unlike you did against khan
Kotelnik’s not a poor fighter, he gave a prime Junior Witter all he could handle, but he was a mediocre titlist at world level, he’ll probably become a fringe contender now and just hover around the lower end of the top 20 for a couple of years.
GO AWAY YOU WERE JUST A PAPER CHAMPION, REAL MEN WOULD SPILL BLOOD AND GUTS FOR THERE TITLE. KHAN WON EVERY ROUND AND SHOWED WHAT A JOURNEY MEN YOU REALLY ARE. NO NEED FOR SOUR GRAPES GIVE UP BOXING AND GO AND SERVE BIG MAC AND FIRES.
im not a khan fan but theres absolutly no need for a rematch, kotelnik is a poor fighter, khan has no power whatsoever though
