You need to keep in mind that JC Jr did not have an amateur career at all. When many of the boxers nowadays have 50+ amateru fights before they even step in a ring as a Pro. JC didnt have this at all so he is building his boxing skills as a pro. As for the rankings well I do think they are overrating him right now, but I think he and his team know that, and they know JC still has to mature as a boxer and they will wait until that happen to get bigger fights.

but just remember that chavez jr had no amature carreer and is making people that have been boxing for years look like kids…its def in his blood. ..but lets not forget omar chavez this kid is a problem…one fight he hits a guy in his ribs so hard he made a grown man cry….. one of his last fights hit a guy so hard in the head he dies days later….chavez jr is good but omar chavez is the one you need to be looking out for while he grows in the boxing world

just remember every boxer has more than 50 amateaur fights turning pro.! chavez jr has none this 40 fights there been like his amateaur fights!!

he has fought who? how about a diaz ,collazo, at least somebody in the to 10? his dad was a legend hands down. maybe its not in the dna?? he should have been tested by now by a decent opponent or formidable journeyman.. there is a lot of them i can suggest!!!!

oli, the Khan hater, World title at 22, how can you call that bum? who isnt a bum and achieved that? not many names coming to your head? surprise surprise. he is by far the most talented of the british fighters. the prescott dent has made him a better fighter, and he has already proven that. watch how he destroys prescott in a rematch which is unavoidable.

p.s. the boxing bussines is not fare and yes it is a bussiness! and bussines’s exist to make a buck. a fighters value is directly based on his ability to atract a paying public to the ticket booth or to the tv screen. example if your a halfway decent fighter from england that can atract alot of english payperview buys from england doesnt mattter if your better days are over you can get paid millions while fighters of better caliber are ignored. but eventually the best will come out on top just be patient

lets be honest there are a lot of fighters that get star treatment when they turn pro for diferent reasons. some becouse they win medals in olimpics others have the luck of having a father or relitive that know the bussness but they are the minoraty most fighters dont have the best couches or managers or promoters working on there behalf. and for the most part its an uphill battle if my son dicedid to box as a pro i hope he would be in the first group mentioned and i dont see anything wrong with jr being guided throught the maze that we call the boxing world.and i’ll bet all the people griping about jr’s stattus would do the same if they where in his shoes.

Chavez jr is not on PPV, does not talk himself up to be the future P4P king and is not fighting bums while still holding a belt.

Amir Khan is the biggest conman in world boxing. Chavez jr is 2nd

41 fights and nothing to show for it this guy is close to retirement already hes got 9 more fights and thats it. He should be in mexican movies not in the square ring.

He will never be as good as his father was; however, in his defense, when M. Cotto was fighting nobody and (Zab past his prime was a nobody), he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Do not miss the point here. He (Chavez) is being brought up SLOW, real SLOW.

Not sure what will materialize with this fighter, but let’s not cast stones just yet.
