Joe Calzaghe announces plans of a comeback – news

By Liam Santiago: Former undefeated world champion, Joe Calzaghe has announced his plans to return to the ring. As of yet, nothing is official but Calzaghe already has an opponent in line. If you are a fan of the Welsh man, please, do not get over exited. He is not planning on fighting Carl Froch, Bernard Hopkins or Kelly Pavlik. The opponent he is after is a cage fighter with a record of 8-8-1.
So, in typical Calzaghe style, an easy fight is on the cards. On the radio station, Red Dragon FM, Calzaghe has already started the pre fight hype, referring to the opponent, Alex Reid as ”that fighter who dresses like a woman”. Calzaghe went on to say, ”As long as he stays standing up, no kicking allowed. It would be too quick. ‘Id take him out, no problem”.
Well Joe, yes you probably would take him out no problem as he has never boxed before and has a 50/50 record. The guy has absolutely zero experience in boxing so of course you could ‘take him out’.

Calzaghe should consider giving Roy a rematch once he takes care of the Danny Green and B-Hop. In my opinion… this would be a good rematch and one that Roy is waiting for. Giving Roy a rematch now may be too dangerous for Joe but I feel he will take the bait and get KO’d by Superman Jones! RJJ is back and the bout against B-Hop will prove it! Stay Tune!
Too bad Joe is coming back. I was glad to see him retire and cement his place in history. For me, his most impressive performance was against Kessler. He clearly beat an excellent fighter that night.
Hey Santiago, the Manuel Perez want to be, did you put in your two weeks notice. The fight is nearing. You better live up to your words when Pacquiao knocks out i’m no angel Cotto. But like your idol Perez, you won’t resign..your both lacking any integrity and are two face!!!

Talking yesterday on Welsh radio station Red Dragon, the boxing legend
Chatting to show hosts Kam and Sally on the Breakfast Show, he said: “Of course I’d do it. As long as he doesn’t take me to ground – no kicking allowed – I’d definitely take him out. I’d be too quick
“I’d do it if he paid me, but I’m very expensive (but) if the money’s right, I’ll come back and do it for him.”
Why are you still bringing up pitty pat joe.He doesn’t want to make a comeback,there is too much talent in his old division.
so what is calzaghe ducked and dived a few opponents,
this fight will be a tune up fight, and i want calzaghe to come out of retirment to to destroy carl froch.
