Hatton vs. N’Dou is postponed till December – News

By Lian Santiago: Once again, news has emerged that Matthew Hatton will not be fighting Lovemore N’Dou on November 13th. According to Ray Wheatley from World of Boxing, N’Dou suffered a head clash in sparring which required five stitches. Is Hatton jinxed? Every fight he prepares for seems to either get canceled or postponed. Is it possible that Hatton could be the most feared man in boxing?

No, probably not, but he does seem to be having some terrible luck right now. Hatton’s shot at N’Dou’s world title was set to be held in Stoke on Trent. Hatton was due to fight Zab Judah, but that bout fell through as Judah wanted the fight at a lower weight. Although Hatton is coming of a four bout win streak, I can not help but see him out of his depth here.

At domestic level, Hatton is ranked 6th. I just do not see why Hatton has even been considered for a world title shot. Is that the way it works now, if you can’t be a success on the domestic scene, go for a world title. Although N’Dou is 38, and Hatton is probably banking on catching him at the end of his career, I believe the younger brother of Ricky Hatton is way out of his depth here.
