Great article. Cotto’s been rocked at 140 but not really at 147. Manny isn’t that faster nor nearly as strong as Mosley or Judah. Cotto is surprisingly fast & throws great counter punches but we shall both fighters have their work cut out for them. I’m also proud to say these guys are calss acts & there will be no excuses on their behalfs just from obsessed fan’s who tend to lean one way & not have little to no reasoning.

Hey, Sam Singh, you stated that Manny Pacquiao “is being seriously overrated from his wins over Oscar De La Hoya & Ricky Hatton” and that “if Cotto does beat Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto seals his greatness by beating the pound-for-pound number one who is in his prime.” So now, if the Pacman beats Cotto, are you still going to say that he is “overrated”?

It’s so convenient to say after the fights that Oscar dela Hoya was weight-drained or that Ricky Hatton was “there for the taking”. Most, including yourself, thought that ODH vs. Pacman was a mismatch in favor of ODH simply because ODH was a taller and far superior/greater fighter/boxer technician. ODH should have won at least a round. Hatton was unbeaten at 140 lbs. and stronger than Pacman. The fact is that Pacman beat them “convincingly”.

I’m no Pacman fanatic. I just give credit to whomever it is due. Some people just seem to “over-analyze” things.

we all know the outcome of another Cotto vs. Marg rematch. itd just be a waste of Cotto’s time. after he beats Pac hes just gonna solidify everyones thoughts on him and everyone is gonna say hes THE GREATEST Welter Weight.

i’m not taking anything away from Pac he is a warrior and fighter at heart and has fought 2 awesome battles against JMM,but i think he might be pushing his luck come Nov 14.i just think that beating De La Hoya and Hatton the way he did was something Cotto, Mayweather, and Mosley couldve done. hell Quintana could have done it! i truly think that Cotto will beat Pacman convincingly. this will be the biggest test of both of their careers.

to jude, so are you saying Cotto doesnt have God on his side, people dont love Cotto in and outside of boxing? im pretty sure that Cotto’s fan base is the same or maybe even bigger than Pac’s! and all those others extra-curricular activities that pac does has nothing to do with his boxing skills
