I say we match this guy up against good fighters his age like Victor Ortiz…. if JMM can fight Mayweather anything is possible…. Let’s make it happen and see if Jr. and hang and if he can’t then his time is up.

Salman juan manuel lopez is a super bantamweight and chavez jr a light middleweight. It is highly doubtful that that fight would take place.

Here’s a twist on Chavez Jr. and it may not be totally true, and I am not in the least making excuses for him. Maybe, and just maybe, part of the reason why he keeps fighting B level opponents is because he simply wants to fight. Maybe he feels that once he starts hand-picking opponents that his career will start so slow to a pace of the usual drag of 1 to 2 fights a year. Maybe these people he wants to fight are taking too long to make up their mind, so Chavez just takes the next in line. The dude (I don’t think) is even 25 yet. I say let him ride with the tide. His time will eventually come.
