Edision beat Green and Sakio Bika is the IBF Champion so right is right, replace Taylor with Sakio Bika the IBF Champ for that spot.

Like the writer has said. Taylor took on the best,
he won some and lost some. He did become the middleweight champion of the world, and how many of us will have such a day. But, now its time for him to retire as a fighter and perhaps take on a different role in the business, while he can still count his toes.

mad props to jemain taylor he is one of those old school boxers who aint scared to go toe 2 toe in a slugfest his last fights where against good sluggers pavlik abraham he is good maybe just a lil past his prime.. he had beating hopkins which is almost will win the super 6. he should go to lt heavy weight would like to see him fight dawson.

I hate to keep saying this, but… people were saying that Wlad K. was shot, couldn’t take a punch, and should hang up the gloves. He is now one of the two best HWs in the world and sitting on top of the world.

plus jermain talyor is 10 times better than Wlad.K
in skills.

Did he compete and beat the PFP best MW in Hopkins twice in a row. YES! Did he win the championship rounds – YES!
Did he get rid of his coach – YES!
He clearly had it in him but after Pavlik he became damaged goods and it’s a shame. It’s not so much Jermain the boxer as the mistakes he made with his team. He’s a great boxer but runs out of gas and has become gunshy on top of that. I think it’s a real shame that he didn’t fulfil his potential – although not many become undisputed champ of the world.

Good article. Taylor is a good guy and has accomplished more than most people dream of. But getting ko’d for 5 minutes in a boxing match and losing most of his fights now does not bode well.

I hope Jermain takes his money, fame and accomplishments and enjoys a long retirement.

Everyone is calling Allan Green well Allan Green needs to fight Sakio Bika for the title. Sakio Bika is the real SMW Champ if your ask me. All these Promoter have to do is make it happen.

Good points, but I think that if Taylor is willing to go on, then he should. He still has as good a chance as anyone against the other contestants. He got nailed fair and square by Abraham (who hasn’t lost to anyone yet) and was losing on points already. But it wasn’t a blowout by any means, and if he and his family feel the risks are justified, he’s still miles ahead of anyone who would replace him.
