Mayweather Makes Mention of De La Hoya’s Fishnets – News

By Eric Thomas: Floyd Mayweather Jr. appeared on the Chelsea Lately show on Monday night, and when asked by Chelsea “you don’t like Oscar De La Hoya, do you”? Floyd Mayweather Jr. then responded “Would you like a man [De La Hoya] that wears fishnet stockings?” Mayweather is referring, of course, to the scandalous photos that surfaced last year with De La Hoya posing for photos wearing fishnet stockings with Russian stripper Milana Dravnel. The Golden Boy of boxing would later say that the photos were fake, manufactured and photo shopped.
Mayweather, 32, will be facing Juan Manuel Marquez in a huge mega fight this Saturday night at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The winner of this fight will likely be facing Manny Pacquiao in the future, if, that is, Pacquiao defeats WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto on November 14th in their title fight, also at the MGM Grand. Mayweather has been out of boxing for the past two years having been retired since late 2007.

I just hope this wont b anything like Castillo rematch or the Baldomir fight… entire audience booing mayweathers refusal to stop running as they were walking out n the tenth round.. Then crying n the post ‘fight’ conference…
i will also say (certainly to the irritation of a few people who post on these boards) that there should be a block against people anonymously using the names of real people. i am all for allowing anonymous comments, but if there is any way to guard against all the fake entries intended to defame the real people. just a thought…

it is sooooo easy to make that stuff up on photoshop these days, that it’s almost impossible to have a serious discussion about whether or not a photo may be real. and for someone with money, as de la hoya certainly is, there is quite a bit of incentive for someone to use something like for blackmail. either way, real or not, did it affect him as a boxer? not likely. we might as well be having a discussion about whether or not mayweather brushed up against a young girl’s boobs in 8th grade. or, more to the point, whether mayweather did indeed expose himself to a group of young boys in michigan last week…
