Roger Mayweather Arrested and Charged – Boxing News

By Liam Santiago: Roger Mayweather, uncle and trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jnr, has been arrested and charged with coercion with force and battery strangulation. Las Vegas Metro Police arrested the former boxer on Sunday after he attacked on his former boxers, Melissa St. Vil. The female boxer had apparently terminated connections with Mayweather as he had been following her and harassing her.
Mayweather is arrested and is facing serious consequences. You have to ask yourself, what bearing will this have on the outcome of the Mayweather Jnr/Marquez fight in September. It seems highly unlikely that, if the claims are true, Roger will get off this without a prison sentence. Maybe Floyd Jr. could bring his father into the camp again. Or would that just be plain stupid, seeing the way he prepared Ricky Hatton, who lost his fight with Manny Pacquiao simply as a result of his input.

I think that problem was, Melissa St. Vil was overtrained and dehydrated, hence, she was open to Roger Mayweather’s “Strangulation Attack”. Soon as Roger saw her hands down, up came the clawing fist, and boom! She was knocked out by asphyxiation on Round 2.

Doesn’t matter who trains PBF, he’s gonna beat JMM, then Pac will retire rather than face PBF… ’cause Manny is afraid of Marquez, it is just logical he’ll be scared to death of the guy who beat Marquez. Of course unless PBF is willing to come in drained to near-death.
