Haroon Khan destroyed at European Championships – News

By Liam Santiago: Haroon Khan, brother of World Boxing Association light welterweight champion Amir Khan, was out classed on a huge margin in the first round of the Amateur European Championships. Khan lost the bout on points, 10-2, to Russian Radimar Abdurahmanov. Of course, it is too early to write the 18 year old Bolton man out yet. He is already being tipped to win gold at the 2012 Olympics.
Haroon told Bolton News that as he was moving up to 54 kg, weight would not be a problem and he would be a lot stronger. Also he said he had received tips of his brother, Amir. Although the 2012 Olympics are not yet looming, this might be a big warning for Haroon. Does he believe he is bigger and better than he really is? Is he getting praise of his brother’s achievements? Maybe we will all get a reality check at the 2012 Olympics.

Ive actually seen Haroon box before. He is a decent boxer, not sure he will go as far as Amir, amateur or professional.
Two boxers from my old gym have comfortably beat him.
