Berto vs. Aydin Later this Year? – Boxing

By Dave Lahr: Undefeated World Boxing Council welterweight champion Andre Berto (25-0, 19 KO’s) could be facing number #2 WBC contender Selcuk Aydin (19-0, 15 KO’s) next, according to Dan Rafael of ESPN. Berto, 25, is looking for an opponent for his next fight. Currently, WBA welterweight champion Shane Mosley is in the running for a unification bout with Berto. However, if that fight doesn’t materialize, then Berto could be traveling to the home country of the 25-year-old Aydin to make the fight happen.
Berto has no problems with making the trip to Turkey, says his promoter Lou Dibella, and they’re not sure if HBO will be going along with this. However, if the money is what they’re hoping it will be, Berto and his promoter are up for making the travel.
Aydin is coming off a 9th round knockout over Jackson Bonsu on July 11th. Aydin showed a lot of power in that fight and looked a lot better than he had in his previous performance, a 12-round split decision over Said Ouali in April. Aydin landed some devastating shots against Bonsu, taking him out with big right hands. Berto might have problems against Aydin if he’s not able to get him out of there.

I think it will be a great fight if berto accept
@keezy you say aydin gets hit by the straight right yet collazo clearly beat berto in their fight but got ripped off by the judges and he needed the ropes to stay up from a straight right that collazo threw at him in round1
aydin is a good fighter,and punches very hard.berto is NOT gonna have a walk in the park..
finally a rising Turkish boxer. ive been waiting for this to happen. i hope this fight happens so people could see how good of a fighter aydin is. also so he could become more well known by people as a boxer in America
this fight is going to be a eighth round ko for ya boi Berto….if Berto is going to make a stamp in the boxing game, he has to see mosley….but mosley wants to go out the greatest of all time and he wants mayweather….to bad for berto but might as well have a good time beating up on aydin, who has shown that he is suspect for a straight right….watch ya tapes before you respond….holla….

I think it will be a big figt between them. Aydin won 340 fights out of 360 when he was an amateur. And never get knock down. I have been watching him for a long time, and I think people have a reason to call him Mini Tyson…
A new star is about to shane…
two guys short in stature, tall in ability, should be an interesting fight, good boxer facing good puncher, neither one has proven to have greatness in their genes, this fight can make one a star, because it will be an action fight, and maybe a star will be born…

this aydin hits hard very hard berto should have enough in the tool box to beat him though good fight i rekon although mosley would be better
Could be a great bout, that Aydin certainly has a good knock out percentage so I expect he can bang a bit!
Would prefer to see berto mosley tho or berto clottey.
