To Mayweather sr....Your son Floyd jr. clealy said that hatton is the toughest opponent that he ever faced... during his interview after their fight...BUT Pacquiao said in his interview after hattons fight saying that....I WAS SURPRISED THE FIGHT IS SO EASY....does it mean pacquiao will break the bones of your son if they will collide?

I think Floyd Mayweather Sr. should retire as a coach because he doesn't have it in him to make fighters or boxers win... the only win he has accorded himself was the win of Hatton over Malignaggi who is not a top fighter, doesn't have a right hand when he fought (Hatton), no knockout ability / power (check is number of knockouts. And let us not forget that Floyd Jr. reached the top not because of his father but because of somebody else (his uncle).... Floyd Sr. wasn't around when his son made a name for himself.... He's all talk, he blames Hatton for not following the fight plan, but the question is was there a fight plan.... (considering that he was always late)... Floyd Sr. is the most unprofessional person I have seen and heard, he is a disgrace to the boxing world... Hope he reads this

The only difference between Hatton and De La Hoya was that DLH was used to taking punches from Jr. Middleweights and Hatton was not. Sugar Shane Mosley said ODLH told him that Pac had no power, but he said that after watching the Hatton fight, he was a little skeptical of Oscar's comment.

Simon and Batengueno- I think there was an instance in the Pac Hatton fight that Pac got stunned by a Hatton right...I think it was a couple minutes into the 2nd round. I didn't notice it the first time I watched the fight, but the 2nd time I noticed Pac's knees buckle and he took a step back. I'm not sure if Pac got stunned or if he was off balanced, but the point, as I can name 8 or 9 times Hatton got rocked in that fight, and you don't have to watch the fight more than once to see those.

I think Sr is applying for a job. He claims Hatton didn't follow what he taught him, that's an old cap out for losers. Hatton was stunned by getting constantly hit in the face each time he throws a punch, he couldn't believe how fast Pacquiao was. He found out what DLH felt, he could not defend against something he can't see.

@SimonH: No, dude, Hatton never rocked Pac. You must be referring to that instance when Pac was outbalanced and got hit on the upper arm.

I just forgot to mention to the Pacman Haters... on Jun 12th in California, he will be receiving the prestigious Boxing Writers Association of America Award as the top Fighter for 2008.
I know a few fans and writers like Mr. Perez keep saying he is unknown in the US. But every boxing mag has him rated No 1. He has also now crosed over into mainstream celebrity status.
Regular sports news mention his name and people who do not follow boxing recognize his name. Many movie stars and other athletes talk about him. Pardon the Interruption (ESPN) mentions his name next to Tiger Woods & Roger Federer as having achieved the most in their respective sports.
Take that and stick it where the sun don't shine Pac Haters! Perez, can you read or do you ignore facts? Simply put, I think Perez suffers from delusions of inadequacy as a writer.

Obviously Mayweather Sr. would pick his son to knockout Pac Man. He's going to be helping his son train, and I don't recall ever heard a trainer say, "you know what, my fighter's probably going to lose". But Floyd Jr.'s never fought a guy like Pac Man before. He counter punched Hatton all night long and when he had him hurt, Hatton was a sitting duck. Pac's not going to be that quite that easy as whenever he gets hurt, he comes out guns blazing as in his fights with JMM. Whenever he was staggered he just came back with numerous combinations which made their fights instant classics. Hatton gave FMJ pretty much all that he could handle for 10 rounds and even at the end of the fight, he said Hatton was the toughest fight he's ever faced. Now imagine Hatton's offensive onslaught with Pac's speed, power, and precision, and let's see how Mayweather deals with that. Not saying that it'll be an easy fight for Pac, as Floyd's a master technician and probably has the best boxing skills today, but at the same time, I don't think he's ever faced someone with the speed, power, and heart of Pac. It's going to be a great fight if it ever happens, but as Wayne Lord mentioned, Floyd's already pricing himself out, saying that he deserves more than 60 percent, or that he refuses to work with Bob Arum so people don't think he's ducking Pac.

Geez, am I surprised to hear this from pops? NO! It is no different than Delahoya picking Hatton, Mosley or JMM because these are in his stable. Sr has been in Jr's bad books and is trying to ease his way back into the camp.
Actually, I would be surprised if he did not come out and support his son although he was the same guy who said he thought Delahoya beat Jr. in a fight that DLH clearly lost in all areas. What I really want is for him to come out and say he can beat guys in his weight, Paul Williams, Clottey, Cotto and Mosley. Please, like father like son.
Until Fraud gets up off his aging ass and cement his legacy in boxing by fighting real live bodies we should just ignore him. Let's face it, in his 1st fight back everyone would want to see him fight and we did not expect a top 5 welter. He should at least have fought a welter in the top 10 or even 12-15 to get back in the groove.
Forget the talk Fraud Sr & Jr and let the gloves do the talking. I am tired of both talking the talk but not walking the walk. There was the same talk before the Hatton & PBF fights with Pacman and DLH respectively but no action. Hatton got blitzed and PBF daydreamed over DLH.
I expect lots of talk as the fight gets closer but in reality, it will be a another boring and defensive fight by PBF. He will potshot JMM like Lionel Ritchie, all night long and win by easy UD or late stoppage by cuts!
Then he will grab the mike and scream about small guys. Oh he might also add that Mosley avoided him and so did Cotto and everybody else. Do not be misled. He is asking for the lion's share vs Pacman because he knows he won't get it. Then he will say he can't cut a deal.
If he was still P4P maybe he could get it. He took the smaller % vs Delahoya because DLH was the more popular. Pacman did the same too but now he is at the top. If after a few fights Fraud is back he could probably get 50/50 or 52-48 but not right now. Go and try to get back a welter title and stop picking on small men you fraud!

Mayweather sr piped up and predicted Hatton would KO Pacquiao, he was wrong.

Mayweather jr doesnt deal with aggressive fighters well, when Hatton attacked him he more or less crapped himself. Pacquiao is an aggressive fighter with better skills and a better defense than Hatton. Pacquiao would also come in with a better gameplan as Roach would study Mayweather and find a weakness to exploit.

Mayweather jr is beatable, as is Pacquiao, they would put on one hell of a show, one i would gladly pay to watch.
