Roy Jones’ advise to pacquiao smacks with an underlying motive. He doesn’t want either Mayweaether and Mosly to fight pacquiao because win or lose they stand to make $20,000,000 or more. These two are NOT a threat to Pacquiao at all. Mosley, at 37, is at the ebb of his career and won’t be fighting much longer. He wants to fight pacquiao desperately not to prove he’s the better man, but because of the money. This is why he is willing to take 40% and go down to 140. He would put himself in harm’s way but it would be for just one time, just to retire a rich man. He is slower than Pacquiao and doesn’t have the same stamina. As for Mayweather, he is not threat by running away. If he is going to lean on the ropes as he did with Dela Hoya, he’s going to get his head blown away by much faster and more explosive pacquiao. I say this to Roy Jones: you are so green with envy that you’d shine on St Patrick’s Day.

RJJ does not know what he is talking about, his decision is being blinded by choosing with his heart. I am with him there also because if I had to choose between Pacquiao or Marquez vs Mayweather. I would have to go with Pacquiao or Marquez over Mayweather not only cause I am choosing with my heart but because both guys always fights with their heart in hand and are willing to take the risks of fighting the best knowing that the chances of loosing are much greater. Something I have never seen Mayweather do. He fights with safety first not interested with taking chances at fighting any one that poses a threat. Thats where Mayweather makes his mistakes great fights make memorable moments. I

i also feel that manny would be beaten by mosley but not mayweather. when roach was interviewed recently, he said he saw no problem against the two. its hard to believe him with that observation but maybe i will be inclined to believe him now. remember he predicted correctly when he said that manny would finish dela hoya in eight rounds and hatton within three.

Roy just knows what hes talking bout!Pacquiao got two guys who were going down hill.And Oscar De La Hoya punk butt who is a quieter by the way would not even dare come down to 147 to fight maywether because he would have got his butt put on his steel where is has become a star at Lol!!!!!!Roy knows what he is talking about.Just because we hate floyd skills is what roy is looking at.

Arum represents both Cotto and Pacquiao, of course he wants this fight! 2 fighters in his stable means big bucks for him that he doesn’t need to share out to Golden Boy or Mayweathers team (i believe it may be himself)!!

Pacquiao may not have fought the best or even a decent Welterweight, but to be fair, neither has PBF really!!!

RJJ is entitled to his opinion, given he is a legend and HofF(er), I respect his point. But, knowing that the options are limited at 140lbs, im sure he would be doing the same as Arum in his situation.

I agree with Roy. Mayweather and Mosley are elite welter weights and should fight each other. Huge props to Manny for the Great fights and Huge accomplishments he has made for himself and the sport of boxing. Cotto would be a Huge challenge for Manny, about as big a challenge as he should take on. Mayweather is too highly skilled for the Pacman, and could easily come in at a catch weight leaving no advantage to Manny. Mosley is another fighter like Mayweather who stays in-shape all year. Shane could come into the fight easily at a catch weight. Which once again would take away any advantage for Manny. Cotto, on the other hand has had issues with making weight in the past. Melting Cotto down to 143-144 or so pounds would give the Pacman a huge advantage. Cotto’s last weigh-in at 146 pounds was as low as Cotto should ever go. 2-3 Pounds under for Cotto would be a huge difference for him. JMHO

oh what the heck! I’ve been proven wrong numerous times by Pacman. Now I don’t know what’s what anymore, the guy deserves his status. He’s jumping weight classes like every fight and doing so with ease. All these stuff can only be answered in the ring.

I never thought I’ld agree with RJJ but, he’s right. And I’ll add Cotto to that list. Why? Because they are bigger fighters and should be fighting their weight and/or higher… Pacman is as big as he’ll be, for a while anyway. Until then, he must defend his title and best p4p statis at the weight he has grown into.
The big boys need to take care of their business that stands before them, like all the worthy contenders and other champions at 147 and 154lbs…
And as for RJJ, be mindful of your own advise and protect what dignity and heath you have left.

I would listen to what he is saying. He may not be the fighter he used to be, but you gotta give the guy’s words some weight. Either one at 147 would prove to be too much for Pacquiao. You gotta remember, Pacman is not tested in taking at 140 above half as much as he took from Morales (in the 1st fight) and Marquez. Diaz, Oscar and Hatton hardly gave him sweat. Against Mayweather and Mosley, he’s gonna get hit. I am not saying he doesn’t have a chance, but why risk his health going up against these bigger fighters at 147? Isn’t what he achieved at up to 140 great enough? Forget the critics, there will always be non-believers.
