so you’re saying about Cotto? Pacquiao defeated Cotto with two black eyes. Hello, where is everybody? Now Eli, Alex and everyone who claims that they are scientist of boxing. Pls pls guys don’t underestimated pacman. Because Money Mayweather say something rubbish against Pacman. This is would be personal for Pacquiao. He will do his best to TKO Mayweather in any rounds. To prove that he is not an easy fight for Money. Same he did to Cotto. He prove to Cotto fans that he is more stronger and can take body and head punches from Cotto.

Cotto will be no problem for pac lets be realistic but i still think pac should fight him would be great name to add to his resume. IMAGINE looking at boxer rec and seeing Wins against Cotto, Mayweather, Mosley, hatton, de la hoya, jmm,morales, it would a great push, to put him on an even Higher level.

You need to concentrate and think, the only thing that Pac Man can do with his speed is running away from Cotto and the only thing that Cotto have to be aware is been careful with Paquiao’s back when they clench.

I will also say tho, that at this moment in time, Cotto is probably the easiest option out of Mayweather,Mosley & Cotto.

Jim Dower – I dont think you REALLY know that much about boxing.

Cotto fought a great fight, and was SERIOUSLY handicapped for 9 rounds.
Yes he looked vulnerable at times, but that was the game plan, as mentioned, if you go all out against Clottey, he will come back at you. It’s clear to see that Clottey is stronger then Cotto, so it’s best to counter him on the outside, and work the body on the inside, throwing small combinations and moving.

@147 I honestly think Cotto would beat Pac, but the fight will more then likely take place around 143/144, which makes a difference and makes things about equal.

You can’t give Pac a hard time for insisting on a catch weight,

a)Because he has come from 108 -147 pounds, the equavelent, would be Cotto starting at 140 and going to 168!

b)Cotto wants this fight bad, because he knows it will give him a MASSIVE pay day, and fair enough.

Jim Dower and many others like him are what you call sports fans and they are not by any means boxing fans. Jim and his alike do not understand the science behind the sport.
Cotto fought the fight he needed to fight to battle the style of Clottey. Believe it or not there is a science behind the sport. It is not a fight as much as it is a chess game.
Clottey covers up and covers up very well. If you over exert your self with Clottey, he will come back at you with his punishing punches just as you get tired from trying to get through his guard. The best way to fight Clottey is to draw him in and counter only when is engaging. Cotto fought a masterful fight.
Cotto has not lost a single step since his fight with Margarito. He has improved by having a better defensive boxing stance.
For Manny, Cotto is the biggest fight right know. He will not fight Mosley, because there is nothing to prove and nothing to gain.
Cotto beat Mosley, Clottey and if it was not for the loaded gloves of Margarito, he would have taken the decision over Margarito as well.
While Manny is in his prime and if he has something to prove than the two fighters that he needs to prove over are Cotto and Mayweather. Cotto is the most dangerous fighter for him to fight. Cotto can take a punch and punishment from the very best of them, and can deliver his own brand of body and other shots. He is big, tough and most of all he is a very smart, smart fighter.
This is going to be a great fight, and trust me when I say that Manny will have his hands full. This is the very best fighter that he will have faced by far.
Much respect and love for Cotto and Pacquiao for taking on all challengers.

Pac vs Mosley was on the cards too, but that got binned because, in my opinion, Pac, Arum and Roach know Mosley is the far harder option. This I win-win for Arum because he has both fighters in his stable so will make a fortune.

As for Roach commenting on Kotelnik, he would sure as hell postpone if it was his man with an ailment. And don’t even dream of arguing against that, he doesn’t want his fighter at a disadvantage any more than Kotelnik’s team want him at one.
