Ummm. Ha hah… I haven’t been terribly impressed with how Pavliks career is going at the moment. This kid had a pair, he was taking on the best at 160 and knocking them out for the most part. I think his damn management is doing this and it’s his fault for not standing up to them. I would love to see a catchweight fight between Pavlik and Carl ‘I can’t box’ Froch. He “Froch” would get the Froch knocked out! Sorry, Froch is a punching bag with hair, good chin, but lousy boxing skills. He’ll be exposed ‘Even worse than what Jermaine exposed him as’ in his next couple of fights

Pavlik is taking these fights because he got the confidence beat out of him by Hopkins.Pavlik is a good fighter at the moment and not a great one and I think he realizes that.So I don’t think taking these fights is a bad idea but Pavlik needs to realize he doesn’t have alot of time to play these games before his fans turn on him.Of coarse I don’t think he wants to pull a Ricky Hatton and look like a fool gettin KTFO in the ring.I think 1 Rick Hatton like defeat to Pavlik and he will retire or become a gatekeeper.

If this had been a Calzaghe fight it would have got 10 articles from the 3 stooges , Gilfoid , Williams and Lieberman and win or lose they would have gone on about it for 3 months saying they couldnt understand why he hadnt fought everyone from Bob Fitzimmons to Carl Froch’s mum . So lets have some equality , change the names and reisuue your standard Calzaghe article 10 times because this is a ridiculous fight for Pavlik. He will be calling Manny out next ……maybe not , too dangerous better go for Hatton!!

lets get it right pavliks last fights at 160 as champ are no/1 mandatorys yes this one with mora i dont get but his next fight will have to be big AA/williams he is 27 and cant fight at 168 yet if he beats all the good mid/weights his in the shit because he is not ready yet at 168

Wasn’t Rubio the WBC’s mandatory contender? If so, Pavlik had to fight him sooner or later. I didn’t have a problem with that fight to be honest. This one though, it looks like cherry picking a beatable opponent. I wouldn’t pay to watch this. Mora could outbox Pavlik for spells, but not all fight; the pressure from the bigger man will tell at some point. The question is whether Mora can withstand it or not. I’d have to say the latter.

Really on paper he is fighting a former world champ, i think the only thing Mora lacks is power (same problem as mallinaggi), Mora could nick it though it would be in dull fashion

He got completely outclassed by Hopkins and he’s rebuilding his confidence. He took loads of risks early in his career and fought big names.

The big fights will come again he is only 27 years old.

mora could win, but won’t. there’s not much at 160 frankly. pavlik/abraham is the fight. maybe pavlik/ froch. bute, allan greene,
felix sturm has a belt at 160. the cupboards pretty bare.

paul williams is a stud -i think he could be the guy. It might be his time soon.
there’s talk pavlik’s gonna fight verron forrest after mora. how sad is that?? he’s as old as mayweather sr!
