Haye: “He’s [Wladimir] a Mentally Weak Fighter” – News

By Jason Kim: Former World Boxing Council/World Boxing Organization cruiserweight champion David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) once again started firing with both barrels in his verbal war with IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) after the two finally came to an agreement for their June 20th fight in Germany. The contracts were signed early this morning and the fight is now set, although the location for the bout is still to be determined.
Sanders, a South African with fast hands and explosive power, knocked out an unprepared Wladimir in the 2nd round six years ago. Since that day, some people feel that Wladimir has fought cautiously to avoid being knocked out again.
Wladimir and Haye had previously been in the negotiations process since December with Haye understandably not happy with the two fight rematch clause that the Klitschko management inserted into the contract.
Haye, who moved up to the heavyweight division in November 2008, and has fought only twice in his seven year career at heavyweight, leapfrogged over the other heavyweight contenders in the division to get a fight with Wladimir. Many people feel that Haye didn’t deserve the fight because he hadn’t fought any quality fighters at heavyweight before talking his way into the fight.

Love hayes power but Vlad’s no Monty Barrett so lets see if the hay maker can walk the walk cause he can certainly talk the talk.
David tripod is right, fighters step up and fight for a title all the time, their status/achievements in the lower division all but guarantees a shot, Haye unified Cruiserweight!
Haye does need to shut his yap though, Wlad wont be intimidated, so why say stupid shit like that. I dont see Wlad going home, looking in the mirror and weeping because Haye saw through him!!!
Glad the fight is signed now, its time to see if Haye is deserving of this title shot and if he can put his money where his overused mouth is.
All you American journalists and fight fans….i bet you all start changing you predictions as june 20th creeps up…just to cover your arse’s…..David Haye is better than you all give him credit for.
It shows how much confidence the Klitshcko camp have with that hideous contract……WHAT A FUCKING JOKE…..
They get to promote Hayes next two fights….What makes it worse is David Haye’s a promoter himself with his own promotional company…Hayemaker productions….

How did Roy Jones Jr get a title shot against John Ruiz back in the day?? Jones must have leapfrogged over heavywieghts to do that? so its not un-heard of. OH and Pacman seems to be doing it in every division he likes(granted he is best p4p) but leapfrogging happens. Especially if you held WBC & WBO titles at 200lbs. Haye will win the fight but it wont be easy!
So happy to hear its been signed!!!!!!!!!! A lot of you “journalists” had better start preparing excuses of how your predictions of w Haye loss were so wrong!!!!!!
