Herbie Hide was and still is one of the most underrated fighters of the last 20 years. Though he was very small for a heavyweight, he had ability that others could only dream about. And his power was always underrated. Though he's always been written off in his career, winning 2 Heavyweight titles aint too bad, something which nether Williams or Harrison have yet achieved. Yet those two were always favored above Hide. I'll always be a Hide fan!

At 37 it's not really a surprise that he's slowing down in speed. He could not have kept that up forever. And IF Herbie is on the verge of being past it, then at least he has a decent career to look back on. He never achieved probably what he could have, but still he had a good run!

ohhh this is the beginning of the end of 1 of my favourite British boxers of recent years.

Fast and powerful he seemed just a little too small to take on the Lewises and Klitchkos of the division but a proper knockout specialist and all his fights were entertaining.
