Unbeaten middleweight (heading to light middleweight) “Ireland’s” John Duddy (25-0, 17 KOs), fighting out Queens (NY) by way of Derry, Northern Ireland, headlines against veteran Sam “The Punching Policeman” Hill (17-9-1, 10 KOs). Greene (20-0), rated No. 3 by the WBA and No. 4 by the WBO, will fight an opponent to be determined in an eight-round, non-title fight.

“It always feels good to fight at home in front of my family, friends and fans,” Greene said. “I’m going to put on a real good show. I’m positioning myself to fight the upper rated junior middleweights in 2009, especially (James) Kirkland. I’d welcome the opportunity to fight John Duddy, who is a nice, classy guy who I respect a lot. To fight him in the big arena at Madison Square Garden would be unbelievable.”

Polish power puncher Pawel “Raging Bull” Wolak (22-1, 15 KOs) faces upset-minded Christian Lloyd Joseph (12-7-3, 5 KOs) in the co-feature. Wolak (22-1, 15 KOs), a graduate of Berkley College of Manhattan with a degree in business, is the Polish International light middleweight champion.

Molitor Prepares For Caballeros

While IBF Junior Featherweight champion Steve Molitor makes his last second preparations for WBA champion Celestino Caballeros on November 21, in the most important Canadian fight in over a quarter century, two of Canada’s best heavyweights will be fighting for their own piece of national boxing history..

In the most significant Canadian heavyweight title fight in years, Raymond “Mount Kilimanjaro” Olubowale (7-2-1, 4 KO’s) defends his crown against undefeated 2000 Polish Olympian Greg Kielsa (7-0, 3 KO’s) in the co-feature to Molitor-Caballero at Rumble at Rama VI, at Casino Rama, in Rama, Ontario

“This is easily the most important Canadian Heavyweight title fight since the days of George Chuvalo,” Kielsa’s manager, James Jardine, said. “These guys aren’t club fighters who have no business being called champions. These are true, legit contenders, whose careers will be greatly affected by the outcome.”

Kielsa, who was born in Bialystok, Poland, but now resides in Brampton, ON, is coming off an eight round unanimous decision win over iron-fisted Jerry Butler at Rumble at Rama V this past August.

“This is my biggest fight as a pro, without question. It’s all I’ve been thinking about,” Kielsa said of his showdown with Olubowale.

“Once the fight hits rounds 7, 8, or 9, I know Ray will get tired, no question about that.”

The six foot seven, 270 lb. Olubowale who once trained along side Kielsa, pays only passing respect to his former stablemate.

“Greg is only a decent fighter, nothing more or less. There’s nothing impressive about him what so ever,” Olubowale. “When we sparred together years ago, I was holding my own against him, and that was without a coach, without the same amateur background, and without a fight to train for. And after seeing him fight a couple of times, he’s no better now than he was back then.”

“He says a lot,” Kielsa said of Olubowale, “but he’s blind. I’m a much better fighter now than I was when we sparred, but he’s just trying to build up his own confidence. He knows what he’s in for.”

Tickets for Rumble at Rama VI are $50/$75/$125/$175, and are available at the Casino Rama Box Office, at all TicketMaster locations, by calling (416) 870-8000, or log on to and online at www.casinorama.com. Ticket prices do not include applicable taxes or service charges.

Minto Wants Title Shot Against Valuev

WBA #15,WBO #11 heavyweight Brian ‘The Beast’ Minto (32-2 21kos) of Pennsylvania wants a title shot against Valuev, and his manager, Pat Nelson, has taken issue with the comments made by Valuev’s manager, Boris Dimitrov. Nelson states, “Dimitrov has said that ‘We do not have other viable options’ for the WBA heavyweight title in Zurich on December 20th. That’s nonsense! There’s a list of 15 ranked contenders by the WBA to choose from, and one, Minto, is not only a free agent but is also well known in Germany and the U.S..”

Unranked by the WBA, Holyfield, and now 46 years old, has not won a fight in nearly a year and a half. In fact, he’s 4-4 over the last 6 years, whereas Minto is 32-2 over the same stretch. “In my opinion, ever since these giant Russians watched Rocky IV, their biggest fear is being knocked out by a left hook from an undersized white heavyweight from Pennsylvania.” ” What if Holyfield falls out? Who’s next? Larry Holmes? Opportunities should be offered to boxers of the present generation, while they are in their primes. Networks, sanctioning bodies and promoters should take responsibility to ensure equal and fair opportunity. Mr. Dimitrov, there is a viable challenger, and his name is Brian Minto.”
