Setanta Sports News, the rolling 24-hour sports news service, will broadcast a special heavyweight edition of Steve Bunce’s Boxing Hour at 2pm on Thursday 3 October. The straight talking pundit will be joined by David Haye and Monte Barrett, who are set for an explosive clash at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday 15 November, which is exclusively live on Setanta Sports.
British boxing sensation David Haye will finally make his heavyweight debut against Barrett in little under seven weeks time. It will be his first fight since defeating Enzo Maccarinelli back in March.
Monte ‘Two Gunz’ Barrett, who is ranked 15th in the world, will take part in his first UK television appearance since he was announced as Haye’s opponent on last week’s show. Barrett’s last victim was Tye Fields, who he knocked out in the first round.
Also on this week’s show is the premier of Setanta Sports’ eagerly awaited ‘Night at the Museum’ inspired, promo for the Joe Calzaghe vs. Roy Jones Junior fight, which takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday 8 November. Watch out for special cameo appearance from Buncey!

Andre Ward Back In Training
2004 Olympic Gold Medalist and top-10 world rated, Andre “S.O.G.” Ward (16-0, 11 KOs) received clearance from Doctor Warren King to resume his regular training schedule.
Ward, who had suffered an injury to his right knee, underwent arthroscopic surgery early last month.
Said Ward, “I met with Dr. King yesterday at the Oakland Raider facility and he determined that I could immediately begin training. The original target date to resume training was mid-October; but my rehabilitation and recovery went so well I was given the green light sooner.”
“I am excited to get back on track and begin training again at my full potential. I look forward to my next challenge in the ring. I always step into the ring motivated but this time around it will have an extra special meaning because I feel so grateful to God to have had the ability to strengthen my body.”

Haye will win by knockout within 6 rounds. Get ready Klitschko the Hayemaker is coming for YOU!!!!!
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:50 am
Just watched Haye on TV this is what he said about his upcoming fight. Yet again he is showing a great fighting attitude….
“Evander Holyfield is one of my idols and how he coped with it, I’d like to believe I can do the same as what he did,” he added. “He was exceptional fighting good big men and I like to think of myself in the same manner.
“It’s a big gamble, a massive gamble and it could go pear-shaped after about 20 seconds or I could look like the next best thing since Mike Tyson. That’s the gamble and that’s why people don’t want to wait 10 fights before I get someone half-decent.
“The first opponent I put myself in with someone who is going to test me. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time. If I can’t take it, I might as well find out now. What’s the point dragging out a load of bums and then finding out against Wladimir Klitschko.
“I’d rather find out here rather than getting the whole of Britain behind me and letting them down. I’d rather get it over quickly and find out if I’m the goods or not.
“You can’t go swimming without getting wet. If I can’t get through Barrett, what’s the point? I definitely can’t get through Klitschko so I’d probably call it a day.
“I’ve got high standards for myself and always have done.
“I called out Klitschko and, if I stumble at the first block, I’d be a joke and wouldn’t want to embarrass myself any more.”
