are all these writers yanks? we have 2 put up wit all ur shit about how amazing all ur fighters are, are the uk not even allowed 1 u always put down calzaghe and say he’s avoiding pavlik, everytime hatton does the smallest thing wrong u critisise, what about mayweather – de la hoya? im my book thats a draw he only got the nod cos he’s unbeaten, u keep going on about how good ur fighters are and il keep going on about how shit joe cortez was in the pbf – hatton fight, he let pbf fight how he wants 2 but not hatton, he had 2 fight how mayweather wanted, as a brit and a hatton fan mayweather outclassed him but the fight should have gone the whole 12 and should have been a whole lot closer

this is hillarious.you know i think malignaggi does have a shot of beating hatton and i agree ricky is probably on the slide,but really this guy is it sean or somebody? fails in his attempt to hide his contempt for hatton and his huggery for paulie.in fact the article is surely ghost written by paulie,surely? he talks about hattons faults and how bad he’s allegedly looked in recent fights, but conveniently fails to mention how shit paulie’s looked recently.these anti-hatton articles written by these clowns just get more hillarious by the day.

Wow, this article really reframes history. First off Maggi took a beating from Cotto… the only thing Maggi proved in that fight was that he can take a beating and not present any danger to his opponent. Secondly, Maggi admittly looked poor in his last 3 fights and always talked a big game when moving on to the next fight; he has not been the same after the beating he took from Cotto. Finally, although Collozo and Mayewather exposed weaknesses in Hatton’s style, there is no way Maggi can do what they did since he has no power what-so-ever.

good comment paul, you speak alot more sense than the moran who wrote this article. ricky has only lost once in his whole career against a legend in mayweather, and has never lost at light welter. i think alot of people should get off rickys back, and stop being so negative. its the same with calzaghe people just dont like good britsish champions, there all out to pull them down.

Dear Sean , i really dont know why these people employ you as a boxing writer i really dont , if you just come out and said i hate Ricky Hatton id understand , i know you cant get away with that on here but if you drop me an e mail and say it then once again id understand .

About the only thing i agree with in this column is Hatton was outclassed by Mayweather , having watched him against Lazcano i beleive the old Ricky is back , he served up the most one sided vicous beatings ive ever seen the Hitman dish out and like a true Mexican Lazcano came through everything Hatton had to throw at him and more , however Hatton put the conditioning question marks to bed in this fight , he got hit a bit more often than id of liked to see but overall a very one sided contest .

In contrast Malinaggi in my book has lost his last two fights , and should thank the lord he is still the IBF champion , yes he has skills but he could’nt bust a grape , add to that he is chinny , Hatton will run through this man inside 8 and will put a lid on Malinaggi , then we can look forward to Hatton Paqcuiao who is everything Malinaggi is’nt and should provide one of the best

Hatton was hardly a mess in the mayweather fight, he just came up against a special talent, who will be remembered as one of the best ever.

And, Lazcano never really did give Hatton any problems in the fight, he may have rocked him once, but just because Hatton coudltn put him away, it doesnt mean he gave him problems. It may mean however that Hatton has lost the mental ability to put his opponents away that he had before the Mayweather fight.
